Jas Mangat will return to a familiar hunting ground in Jinja district this weekend hoping to continue his perfect start to the 2018 National Rally Championship. The Evo 10 driver is among the 40 drivers confirmed to participate in the FMU Jinja Challenge Rally that gets underway with a super stage on Saturday at Jinja Agricultural Showgrounds.
“We shall have 6 rounds at the Showground in partnership with FMU. We have made the rally very interesting for everyone, this time around we shall have a rally together with music. After the rally, we shall have music, at every interval we shall have music.” Said, Balam Barugahara – Events Manager. A super special stage will cover a maximum of 5.28 of the 180 km competitive distance. Organizers believe the rainy season will spice up the event. “When it’s raining, it’s the most interest season of a rally. You want to see a slippery surface how a car will roll, how a car will overturn and for your information this will be the best rally ever. Because we are putting a lot of techniques in the organization.” The drivers will do 5 repeated sections in the areas of Rwanda, Kagoma, Mutai, Magamaga, and Kakira.
