The Ugandan Netball Federations Electoral Committee warned that Rosette Kaala and Wilberforce Mutete had three days to confirm their candidature for Saturday’s General Elections. This was after they submitted academic papers that left many questions unanswered. Kaala was standing for the post of General Secretary while Mutete wanted to retain the Spokesperson portfolio. “Madam Rosette Kaala we have given her until Friday 5 pm to deliver all the documents that were required. And in case that one fails, the next day she will not be on the ballot papers.”
The Committee also replaced two delegates from Pader district and confirmed Kibuli Secondary School official Amina Monday as an eligible delegate for the Elective General Assembly. Meanwhile, Kisenyi Netball Club and Bishop Stewart will represent the Western region in this year’s injector plan Inter-region final due to take place on 8th December at Namboole stadium. This after the two sides beat 14 others to emerge the Western region’s best teams during the qualifiers held at Nyamitongola grounds.
“This competition is intended to perform for us two roles one of the functions is to help us identify the teams and girls that will have the talent and can gain our National team the Uganda Netball Federal team the She Cranes. Two; to begin educating the young girls on how to protect themselves against the unwanted pregnancies and how to control them and how to control their families.” Mbale town will host the Eastern region’s qualifiers due this weekend.
