There was fanfare at Kololo Independence grounds as this year’s participants engaged in aerobics barely before the MTN marathon got underway. Security was tightened to ensure that the event was staged successfully. The 14th edition of the MTN Kampala Marathon, which ran under the theme ‘Respect Your Cause’, offered a different experience to participants to select a cause they would prefer to run for. Participants chose to register and run for either the improvement of maternal health or the reduction of cancer among school children.The marathon took place on the 19/11/2017
