imageIf you have been following the series of articles previously about the political situation in Kenya, then this one is simply a continuation of the same. After the blatant rigging of the presidential elections of August 8, 2017,

The opposition leader dragged the ruling party to court and indeed the court ruled in his favor and overturned the elections. the electoral body was ordered to conduct fresh elections within three months.

However, no reforms were made and the opposition party insisted that if no reforms were made there would be no election. indeed they pulled out of the elections and basically left the incumbent to contest against himself in an election that had the lowest turn up in the history of elections. He was declared the winner and hurriedly sworn in.

What this meant to the Kenyan politics was something to watch and observe keenly, clearly, Rails was loved by his people and highly respected. people were willing to put their lives online for his sake. the corruption and brutality displayed by the ruling party left Kenyans thirsty for change.

Arrests were reportedly being made across the country . Member of Parliament Tom Kajwang, who presided over the swearing-in ceremony was arrested in regards to the swearing-in ceremony.

The media was being choked and some being shut down if they showed programs re lated to opposition activities, journalists, editors and members of the board were some of the people arrested as the crackdown continued.
