With barely three months left to elections for FDC president, Patrick Amuriat Obo kicked off his campaigns in the Busoga region. While speaking to FDC delegates in Kamuli Amuriat noted that he was the perfect candidate to finally oust President Museveni given the leadership skills built over time. Amuriat was flanked by other party officials among them Wafula Ogutu, Herald Kaija, and Ingrid Turinawe

“We believe in both internal and external democracy and therefore we work for the party and not for individuals, if it happens, I will continue doing the work that I have always done even without a position. What I seek today is to be elevated to that position where I can influence decisions to make our party better. So even if I lost, you know that’s part of democracy; the delegates would have spoken, I will continue to work for my party normally.” Said, Patrick Amuriat – Candidate for FDC Presidency.
