At about 4:30 pm last evening, a Military officer only identified as Kasigazi, his driver and a Police constable CananNkamuhabwa stormed Sembabule town to arrest one Paul Tumukunde. During the scuffle, Kasigazi allegedly ordered Nkamuhabwa to shoot at Tumukunde and he died instantly. “He was shot by a Police constable Nkamuhabwa, he was together with other two; one a driver, errands corporal and another private.” Said, Asan Kasingye.

The Police Spokesperson Asan Kasingye said that the suspects attached to the Presidential Guard were arrested and are awaiting trial in the General Court Martial expected to convene soon in Sembabule. “The three of them have been arrested, we have the exhibited gun and they are going to be Court Martialed. One is a Police officer and two are Military officers. And that’s why we need to solve this one for once and for all, of course, you maybe aware that starting tomorrow we are going to have a Court Martial.” There were allegations in Sembabule that Kasigazi was related to the first family but the Spokesperson dismissed these claims. “They even don’t have many reasons for it other than saying that they had a few issues to sort you know. And this has nothing to do with anybody relating to anyone, we do not know that anywhere, I do not know that. These are just very few individuals who are tarnishing the image of the Police.”Said, Asan Kasingye.
