Tororo to Lead Martyrs Day Celebrations 20 Years Later

Thousands of these pilgrims were camped at St. Peter Clever Cathedral in Iganga, most of them on their last legs after a tedious pilgrimage approximately 180 km while soaked after a heavy downpour. Besides the effects of nature, there are threats from mankind too; attacks from robbers. They said attackers had claimed their property.

Traffic was another burden they faced. The leaders, however, had mixed reactions. This is the third day of the pilgrimage to Namugongo with almost half of the journey covered. They expect to leave this evening from Buikwe in Buikwe where they will spend a night before proceeding to Lugazi.
