Bishop Luwalira's Attacker During A Court Session

At about 4 pm, the Police van carrying Kaddu Solomon the man who attempted to attack the bishop of Namirembe Diocese the Rt. Rev. Wilberforce Kityo Luwarila on Easter arrived at Mwanga II Court for the hearing of his case. Once in Court, Kaddu who was guarded by two Police officers moved into the dock for the first hearing of his case where three charges including an attempted attack on the bishop threatened to attack the Dean of Namirembe Cathedral and disorganizing a lawful church assembly were profiled against him. Before Grade I Magistrate Julius Mwesigye, Kaddu denied all the charges.

Kaddu was also denied bail and was advised by the magistrate to make a formal application. He was then remanded to Luzira until 24th of this month. However, both Bishop Wilberforce Kityo Luwarila and Rt. Rev. Canon Benon Kityo was not present in Court for the hearing.
