Singer Mowzey Radio Dead

News of Mowzey Radio’s death started trickling in at about 8 am on various social media platforms. He had passed on after a week of being admitted to CASE Hospital in Kampala where he was being treated for serious head injuries. Scores of people quickly gathered at the hospital when the news was confirmed. Police were deployed to control the crowds that kept growing by the minute. The Director in charge of inpatients at CASE Hospital Dr. Miriam Apiyo spoke about Radio’s stay in the hospital from the time he was admitted on 23rd January. “Part of the complications that the ICU team had to deal with and the major complications right from his injury was really convulsions. He passed away today at about 7 am may his soul rest in eternal peace.” Dr. Miriam Apiyo – Incharge Inpatients Department, CASE Hospital.

Events promotor Balaam Barugahare issued a tentative programme for the funeral. “From Church, we shall head to National Theatre where we shall do the major Vigil Friday night. Then on Saturday he will be laid to rest in Kagga in Nakawuka.” Said, Balaam Barugahare – Chairman, Funeral Committee. His colleagues in the industry spoke fondly of him. “You know we have just confirmed the death of our very important person not just to the music industry but to the country and most importantly to our generation.” Said, Robert Kyagulanyi – Singer/Kyadondo East MP. “This young boy has gone right now, we just have to pray for him that he rests in peace.” Said, Messach Semakula – Musician. “I don’t know who is killing my children but if there is something wrong they did, they should tell us so that we can apologize.” Said, Halima Namakula – Musician.

They have also asked the Police to thoroughly investigate the death of musicians who have been killed in this manner. “We have lost many friends in these bar blows, you have seen people fighting in Clubs like Governor where someone was killed, you have seen people, and you have seen how Danz Kumapesa lost his life after being beaten.
