A killer struck again murdering the eighth woman as the Police continued to clutch at straws. Shock and grief gripped residents of Kitala as a body of an unidentified woman was dumped a few meters from the Entebbe Highway. Naboth Molozi discovered the body near his residence as he was on his way to burn rubbish. “I discovered it was a body which had been dumped there and the head was covered with third hair.” When the Police arrived, they were confronted by angry residents who accused them of abdicating their responsibility. “I have my sibling who is lost and the Police has done nothing about it.” “Why has the Police taken the body without allowing us to verify?” “We need the Police to show us the body since we know those living in this village.”
The murder came on the hills of a visit last week by the Inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura. During his visit, residents claimed they had received a letter which warned them about the peril that lay ahead. There were sorrow and grief and some women threatened to strip if the Police did not find the killers. “Why should we dress up since they like women, we shall go naked.” “We dress up, they undress us. It bothers me, that’s why we shall opt to run naked.”
Barely after the woman’s body was found, another family revealed that their two children were missing. “The children were coming from the church and disappeared before reaching the flyover.” The place where the body was found was right next to his home which had CCTV cameras. “We are fortunate that where we found the body the buildings have cameras which will help us in our investigations.”
It was barely a week ago when a young woman Aisha Nakasinde’s body was found decomposing in a thicket in Kivundila village Katabi Town Council. Like most of the victims, she was first raped and later sticks were shoved in her private part.
