It is this motor grader that was put to flames after the owner was hired to level a piece of land found in Lubowa a Kampala suburb. From his explanation, David Wakabi the owner of the grader was not aware that there were any disagreements over this piece of land involving a one Dan who hired him and Brig. Kasirye Gwanga. It was however, surprising to see Brig. Gwanga arrive with a gun and immediately shot in the air and later put the grader on fire. “That when he came here, he fired bullets in the sky about three times then everyone ran away. In the course of running away, the tractor was left alone. He came with his fuel ready in his car, he poured fuel here and then he fired bullets on this whole tractor and lit it up, it all burnt, it is a total loss.” Said, David Wakabi – Grader Owner.
Brigadier can we just maybe understand what triggered you to get to that extent of having that grader into flames? “They were getting on my son’s land, they tried to steal our land. I found the machine, the boy called me from the US, saying; daddy they are taking my land, the tractor is there. I said; what? He said, it’s there right now as we talk, it’s there. I said okay, let me go and I found it there. Do you know what I did? I burnt it, as simple as that. I have no case” Revealed by Brig. Gwanga. Wakabi took the matter to the Police and was ready to take all legal steps to ensure that the Brigadier paid his grader worthy 200 million shillings. “As the CIDs and the others are doing their investigations, I contacted my lawyers, they will all come on board for Justice to prevail, am sure Brig. Kasirye Gwanga must pay for this and he will pay for this.” Said Wakabi.
Are you remorsefully in any way for what happened Brigadier? “Remorseful, you don’t know, you are talking to Kasirye Gwanga. Remorseful, you guys you are even calling us old men, you are calling Kasirye Gwanga old, now we ar0e just telling you; we are not old people, we are smart people, period.” Replied, Brig. Gwanga. This matter was before the Police and investigations had already commenced.
