Africell Introduces Triple Data To Counter Internet Charges

In East Africa, Uganda was ranked 2nd with 31.1% Internet users after Kenya which was the Internet Market leader at 77.8%. The low penetration was attributed to the high-cost charge to customers by service providers despite the different government interventions. Mirad Kayiraran the Commercial Director for Africell said that with triple data customers would be able to get three times more of the data bundles they purchased. This was in response to the high demand of Internet usage in Uganda. “...try our fast data as much as they can. So we’re giving them three times more to make sure that everyone can really test our speeds and our coverage all over Uganda.”

Africell over the years has been ranked the best Telecom with the fastest Internet speeds and they now hoped that the new product would be able to rule out any glitches that had been affecting the system.
