image19th May 2018 history was made again for us the black people of this world just like we celebrated when Obama was elected the first black president of United States of America. there was black blood in there, his father was Kenyan Luo to be exact.

we again celebrate as Meghan Markle walks down the aisle to join the royalty of the British empire. she will be called Princess Meghan  when she marries Prince Harry the youngest son of the late Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

Who would have thought that we would witness such a day in this lifetime, when the royalty would welcome a biracial princess into their fold, but hey, love conquers all.

Meghan Rachel Markle was born on 4th August 1981 to Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle. Doria is black American and wears dreadlocks, while Thomas is Dutch Irish. the couple were married for 6 years and later divorced.

Meghan then stayed on with her mother Doria in los angeles who was a yoga instructor and social worker whilst her father was a lighting engineer and had a great influence on her life later on as an actress. She said that at age 10, her father would take her along with him to work at studios as he filmed movies and films.

Meghan's parents sacrificed so that she could attend a private school for all her school going years. She grew up faced with all the grim realities of racism, she recalls people asking her mum where her mother was because they assumed she was the nanny, Meghan was fair skinned.

She also told of how her school teacher forced her to tick the box marked Caucasian when filling in a document at school, the confused Meghan confided in her father who told her in future to create her own box. She thus grew up proud and comfortable with her biracial heritage and embraced both fearlessly.

Well, who would have thought that we would witness the day the queen would have tea with a black woman, her in law to be, Doria already did that, she met the queen and all royalty. As preparations for her wedding were taking place, Meghan was determined to include her black heritage in the wedding preparations.

For now, all eyes are glued on the celebration as we watch the new princess take her place amongst the royal blood of Britain.
